Busy Busy Busy!!!

Between work and other stuff when I get home. I've barely had time to do fun stuff.
Today's all mine! I'm working on some more of the Holiday pieces and working on the commission work too. All while watching Babylon 5 or listening to holiday music.

I asked last journal if anyone wanted me to feature their holiday art. & No responses. Huh? I have had issues with some artist's having their work featured. Yeah... so if you want your art featured, you have to let me know. Send me thumb codes via notes or email.

Anywho, I hope ya'll are having a safe & Happy season. More snow here, but not like my friend's on the East Coast, hope ya'll are staying warm.

At the moment, I'm making my audio Holiday Greetings for the ppl I work with. I found on iTunes a classic Holiday Album, including "Little Drummer Boy" with Bing Crosby & David Bowie (My fave version). So that's what I'm giving away to some of the ppl I work with. And will see if Patrick wants any for his co-workers as well. This way I can design the cover, and give a gift that hopefully they will use year after year.

Also on iTunes at the moment is a Free Holiday Sampler Album. Yeah, a whole album for FREE! Go snag it. It has a lot of good tunes from some of today's artists.

I'm trying to finish up my Naughty or Nice piece for jam. And yeah, if you didn't know he is running a really cool jam. Go check out his journal for the 411. And send him art!!! Last I heard he could hear crickets. LOL I'm hoping to have this piece finished today.

And then I get to start coloring the 4, that's right 4 pieces that were donated for my Holiday Charity Drive!!!
Huge uber huggles and thank you's to & for the pieces that they both donated!!! They are beautiful!! They have also received pledges sight unseen. Most of my friend's love the art of Briana that they have seen drawn of her by the various artist's on Deviant.

And last journal I mentioned snow. And it did, that night!!! It was an interesting drive to work, 1 county didn't have snow, and the other had white out conditions. LOL Thank goodness I have lived & driven in a lot of states with huge snowfalls. I can handle the snow and ice conditions, I am having a huge issue with the cold though. It is C O L D here. LOL

This week has been extremely busy at work, hence why I've been quiet on replies, and email's. Yet I do appreciate all of them! And a big public Thank YOU! for all the that I've received lately and the new

I love this!!! I have been needing a clock that could play music. If it could charge my phone as well, I'd be happy! (It Does!) So now I can hook up the iPhone and listen to my own music. Bonus, I can actually watch my shows or my photos (as a slideshow) too!!!! So now on Monday, I will be listening to my own Holiday mixes, and maybe sneaking in a video. Looking for some Holiday vids. Lots of Love to the one that gave this to me. I only wanted the clock/music player. And the Nature sounds that came with it, will help with my Meditation Classes. (The students will love these.)

So back to burning cd's and coloring. I will try to get to the replies/comments shortly. I will be posting my Holiday design cover when I finish it too. I truly hope that ya'll are warm and enjoying the Spirit of the Season! Happy Holidays to one and all!

Still uber busy with work. And we're looking at moving. Just checked out our new place today. We have until the 1st of the year to decide. Of course, we're already looking at furniture and deciding on stuff. So I think it's going to be a yes. I hope to move in before the end of January. Of course, there's painting, replacing carpet, and possibly some appliances. So... that's going to keep a certain someone (Patrick) busy. LOL

I have always loved Winter until this year. I never noticed just how bad my Fibro really does get with this cold, and somewhat wet weather. I really hope to avoid any snow. yeah, I live in Indiana. It's going to snow. But ooooh my body is hurting. I'm really glad that basically I have a cushy desk job, with some running around in between. Oh and I'm still learning stuff. There's quite a bit to know and I'm always learning something new. It's pretty cool.

I'm still working on commission's and working on a few Holiday colors for my enjoyment. What's the point if I don't do what I want to do too. I have an idea for one of Briana. I'm just trying to figure out how to word it, to get exactly what I want. If one thing I've learned this past year, it's to be specific in what I want. One of the ppl I will never commission again taught me that. I'm still waiting on a piece I commissioned for the Save the Tata's project. Sadly it won't be used for that now. & If it would arrive in the next few days- I might be able to use it for my Holiday Drive charity. I didn't want to bug my artist friend's again. Twice in two months.... yeah. I've been blessed with what was done for the Save the Tatas project. I'm also hoping that they understood that I did NOT want the piece colored. That's my fun! I know a lot of ppl want to color what they draw, but I prefer the B&W's. I'm just a grown-up kid with a way cooler coloring book now.

I hope ya'll are having a happy Holiday Season. I've already heard a lot of the horror stories, lay-off's, rude ppl, etc. Sorry. But there are some of us nice ppl that do enjoy Holiday Cheer. Yes, life sucks sometimes, but it really is what you make it. Yes, my Fibro hurts me, I could get disability and lay in bed all day- but why? I pick myself up and continue on with life.

*Updated Holiday Project:
the 411 for those that want to volunteer to help. I'm sponsoring a family that one parent got laid off from work, and the other parent is disabled. The children want clothes not toys for Christmas. I'm hoping to raise enough to get food, clothes and toys for everyone in the family. I have a place here that is amazing and they agreed to donate a tree and Christmas dinner for no cost. (They have some digital work I'll be doing for them.) Another place I've agreed to do some free digital work for has already paid their rent till February. I'm always amazed at the generous nature of some people. Helps to restore my faith in Humanity. (When it's low because of rude ppl.)

My family, friend's and my great job!!! Yes, I'm still very tired and still learning the ropes, but it's soo cool to work in my field and have the opportunity to help people.

And ta*da The final piece is completed. This piece earned $1500 by itself. And an additional $500 for my other Holiday charity. All I had to do was color, trim, matte and frame the originals as I have the comic page. And then add in the ficlet to explain it all. [link] (If you've been paying attn you should know the password-if not, email/note me for it.) Favor- need a guinea pig for an opinion. You have till I get back tonight to volunteer.

The woman that made the request would like to publicly thank for donating his time and skills (including speed of delivery) for these pieces. The woman we gave it to, is currently going through chemo for breast cancer. So this was truly a special request. And all of us wanted to let Sean know how much we really appreciate & love him!!! She loved it btw. The nurse's not so much- but the Doctor & tech's did. LOL

Okay, so Friday had some "unscheduled" activities that I could not avoid. And over the weekend, some other issues came up. A few ppl here know & Thank you for your "Hugs". I'm still learning all I can about my job and getting acclimated to what I need to do, and then coming home and wanting to do something other than 'crash' so I will be gathering Art in to my favorite's folders, but don't expect feedback, replies, etc for a bit yet. I know most ppl here understand. So thank you!

Also thank you all so very much for the Favorites, and the comments. I do appreciate them all, I do read them, I just don't reply in a timely manner at the mo. At least I'm honest!

I'm in the midst to talking to the women that donated a LOT Of Moolah for some "Special Request" pieces. As I feel the Artist deserves a lot of hugs and smooching. But I want to make sure that they are okay with me posting- basically the Art that they 'aid' for. This artist went above & beyond my expectations- when I told him that these women were willing to donate more, he simply said, "What do you need luv?" And then answered it fast and beautifully!!! (True Briana is technically my property- however these were their requests with her and I respect that. As I agreed to it before hand.) So if they say yes, I will be posting these on my website behind a Password, as the subject material is not allowed on DA.
(Don't get me started on this subject)

These talented Artist's have brought in at the moment; $1550. from the Silent Auction and the Special Requests. On the website, I haven't tallied up those monies yet- as most ppl were waiting for all the art to be posted. I do have some "blind donations" (I don't care what you send me, just take my money. LOL)

FYI- because I think it's important. Did the artwork for the $1-4 donation. That's right-Briana by Grincha!! Never seen before!

As a thank you to the artist's- when I get the chance, I will be doing a Feature of my Favorite artwork from them. LOL & No, it's not all Briana.
